As a man who loves being over-dramatic for comedy's sake, I love a good overreaction from time to time. I love it even more when the person doing it is serious. Sure, the situation might soon turn awkward, but you will be telling people about it until the day you die. That's why a certain moment in Heavy Rain has always stuck with me.
A lot of people lauded Heavy Rain as some kind of game changer. While it was mostly certainty different, it wasn't anywhere near the greatest thing I've ever played. While I enjoyed it, I don't really want to see an influx of those kinds of games. However, it wasn't just the style people were talking about, it was the idea that Heavy Rain set the bar for story-telling in games. The fact of the matter is the story wasn't very good. It had plot-holes, weird accents and lines, sub-par voice acting, and it purposefully withheld information to allow for a twist. But just because some of these things took away from the story doesn't mean they made the game less enjoyable. In fact, I wouldn't have Heavy Rain any other way because I like making fun of things. Besides, it was because of this that we have one of the greatest situational quotes of last year, Lt. Blake's reaction to Norman's presentation.
Hey, you would be on edge too if you kept finding kids "dead on a wasteland" (Read that part in quotes in a bad, semi-French accent)
Too be fair, Norman was kind of being antagonistic. While Blake is a total ass, I wouldn't have taken that from someone either. Don't know if I would have kicked the chair, though. I'm sure if you choose the the calmer response things go a little more smoothly.
Oh.
That's right. No matter what you say in that situation Blake flies off the handle. This sparked one of the greatest online activities some of us on the site took part in soon afterward. We would play a game like Modern Warfare, wait until someone said something even slightly unfriendly, and then immediately yell this line at them. It resulted in hours of fun. See you s-FUCKIN' ASSHOLE!

Hey, at least he didn't kick the chair the second time. He was a little more calm.
