In case you haven’t noticed, I usually manage to find myself fixated on one up and coming game in particular, and I follow it's every move. It seems this time, that game is LA Noire. The uncommon (but bad-ass) style of a 1940's detective movie is something not used often enough, and is something that is right up the alley for Rockstar. It's my job to let you know that hype around it (so far) well earned. Take a look
This Orientation (or as we like to call it in normal people speak, the game play trailer) shows that Rockstar still knows its root. We see a very familiar HUD, walking around encountering random events. We are shown some shooting, some cover, basic combat, also fairly familiar and unsurprising for a Rockstar game. The part that thrills me is, where as we are a little more used to the GTA aspect of Rockstar, this is almost the inverse. Walking around (like a BAMF) as a cop is a feel we have only kind of experienced. That's only the surface. The trailer shows parts of the game unique to this genre. The crime solving. Our detective is shown at multiple crime scenes, finding clues, observing environments, and consequently speaking with witnesses, suspects, or what have you, to solve said crimes. When speaking with people, it seems that prior knowledge comes into play. While interrogating people, you are able to pick responses (based on things you know) in order to get information out of people. This RPG feel, in a game as open as Rockstar is known to create, makes me shoot happy rainbows out of my body. Oh, also, in case you forgot:
THE FACE ANIMATION IS SO FRIGGEN GOOD.
Don't forget.
Ever.

Damn, this game looks positively freakin' badass, I must say.
If I review it it's getting an automatic 10 if they say either "dame" or "nice gams" at least once. I don't care if robot, space Nazi's invade Earth at the end.
