The Elitist's Favorite Video Game Moments: Dead Space

In the spirit of the upcoming favorite, Dead Space 2, I felt like this was the perfect time to do a favorite moment I have been wanting to do for some time. Dead Space is pretty well known for its affinity toward being completely over-the-top gory and violent. Which, by the way is awesome. The dramatic deaths, gore, mangled bodies, and spurting blood hold a dear place in gamers hearts. It adds pizzaz (and hilarity) to an already successful game. So, tonight I bring you an addition to my favorite moments. Isaac Clark's (or just Dead Space) Deaths.

Don't loose your head over it! **canned laughter** Sorry....
If you don't believe me, go play and die a few times. Or just go play it, and you will most likely end up dieing a few times. Try it on the hardest difficultly and you will almost certainly die a few times. Then laugh at the ridiculosity (totally a word) of some of the deaths.
Deaths in Dead Space are so central to the theme and overall visual experience, from Isaac's deaths to the deaths of the few survivors you encounter on the Ishimura, even so far as the deaths of the thousands of Necromorphs you dismember to death, that they have to be awesome/creepy/gory/holy s*** that just freaking happened. It really just would not be as fun otherwise!
Allow me to illustrate.

One of my personal favorites.

Creepy as all hell.

And some good old montages.

This one has a lot more death.

There ya have it. Now can you imagine Dead Space without these things? Doubt it.  I hope I was able to brighten your day with some good quality death gore dismemberment and decapitation. I know it brings a smile to my face! Is that wrong? Probably...
