The Elitist's Least Favorite Video Game Moments: Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask

Dear Reader,

Before you start a militant raid to support what you believe to be my loathing for Majora's Mask because you are one of those weirdies who believes that Ocarina of Time is the only good Zelda ever etc. etc. etc. understand that I believe that Majora's Mask is a fantastic game worthy of much praise and respect. It's a game comparable to OoT and deserves to be in the upper echelon of Zelda games. That is all.

So, for anyone who as played MM, you know the premise. Evil Skull Kid, steals a magical mask of eviley evil and tries to send the moon careening into Clock Town, destroying Terminia. As you go along in your quest you can collect masks; random masks that serve random purposes as well as a mask from each boss you defeat. Anywho, when you finally arrive on the moon Link encounters children wearing the masks of all the bosses you defeated. They will take all of your masks, and present you with a challenge (hide and seek). The challenges each are themed based on the temples you conquered during the game. They are all of varying difficulty and differ in method of completion. For completing these challenges (and having all the masks in the game) you receive the all powerful Fierce Deity Mask.  Unimportant. The thing that has earned itself a spot in my hate list, is the Goht Child's challenge. It is on of the more ridiculous things I have ever done in a video game. You, as Goron Link, have to traverse this track while rolling in Goron form. The rolling is fast, really fast, and not easy to control, not easy at all. You have to make these stupid 90 degree turns by bouncing off of boxes set at the corners, jump ramps and land safely on the other end, and complete the entire course with out falling off once. If you do fall off (which is ridiculously easy to do) you start all over. Fun stuff. The Fierce Deity Mask is definitely worth it, but my word, this is one of the more annoying things I have ever done in any game in a long time. Especially in any Zelda game. Blarrggggggg..... I am fuming with frustrated anger just by thinking about it! Here is the course, and because it is the internet, this guy makes it look easy as hell. It's not that easy.
