Are we Getting an Epic Mickey 2?

For anyone that read our old Epic Mickey review or listened to some of the old experimental podcasts, our love of Epic Mickey has been pretty well expressed. Despite our admiration, it didn't exactly become a huge commercial success. Thus, we came to terms with the huge possibility that we wouldn't see another fantastic Mickey game in the same vein again for some time. Unless of course we were totally wrong and Disney plans to make a sequel, which evidence does point too.

What is this evidence you might ask? It's a survey that stated that the possible game would have Mickey and Oswald reunite in a game that would support two player split screen, with Mickey using his paint and thinner powers while Oswald would use his abilities of lightning and flight. The survey asked the question, "Based on the description you just read, how likely would you be to buy Disney Epic Mickey 2 for yourself, your family or someone else?” Four possible covers with four possible titles (Epic Mickey 2: Return of the Mad Doctor, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Epic Mickey 2: Mystery on Mean Street, or just Epic Mickey 2) have been also been released.

While we must keep in mind that nothing official has been announced, we are just excited at the prospect of returning to the Wasteland for another Disney adventure, prehaps on a more powerful console. Imagine a real HD Mickey game with the same amount of creativity that Epic Mickey had (with, hopefully, a better camera). We'll be keeping our fingers crossed.
