Hoorah! Three cheers to all the people who spent the full $250 on the 3DS in order to play Zelda! As it turns out, we all should have just waited 3 months until the price dropped, and there was actually shit to play...
Well Nintendo also realized that the price drop makes us look like ass-holes, so they want to make us an offer we couldn't refuse. Nintendo has decided to show their appreciation to all the fans who supported the 3DS from day number one and put up with the fact that we wouldn't have anything to play but we decided to buy the damn thing anyway. Enter the Ambassador Program! What the hell does that clearly poorly translated phrase mean? Absolutely nothing to do with Ambassadors.
Basically, Nintendo recognizes that we feel like we were cheated out of $80, seeing as how the price for the systems dropped so ridiculously soon. So, to try to make it up to us, we are getting a shit-ton(20) of classic NES and Gameboy games available to download on the eShop, for free.
The offer is only available to the people who purchased their systems before the price drop. To ensure that you get your free games, go get your 3DS right now, and go enter the eShop. Get it set up, and sign in. You should get a notification in the News Feed in the eShop that informs you that you are an Ambassador now. You have to do this by 11:59pm tonight. So go. Do that. I'll wait.
For those who don't get these goodies, it's your fault. You are why this happened. So I guess.. thank you... but also screw you because now I'm worried about the future of the system.
Got it, Ambassador? Good. Here is what you get.
So starting September first, we are going to see in the eShop:
I want it I want it I want it I want it!! |
By the end of 2011, 10 Game Boy Advanced games will be available for download exclusively to Ambassadors. Nintendo has said they don't plan to make them downloadable for general population.
Those games are:
Yoshi's Island, Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame and Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
Does this make up for Nintendo's pricing blunder? Hard to say, it's definitely a sweet deal, and I am super super happy they are doing it. I love free stuff. Especially video games. Thanks Nintendo!
